By now you all know about the Inner Strength Trust that was started to assist people that need rehabilitation after accidents or strokes to be able to utilize their bodies to their best possible potential.
After I broke my neck in a car accident 4 years ago, I spent a couple of months in a Rehabilitation Centre.
My 13 year old daughter, Meshaan, knitted me this little doll, Sipho (see Original Sipho on the right) This doll slept with me, went to gym with me for 4 hours a day. Where I went, Sipho went. He comforted me, while I was sleeping and he reminded me that my family (that includes Jesus) was there with me in the hospital holding me and loving me.
We have decided that Sipho will be reproduced in bulk by you guys hopefully 🙂 but this time, he will be wearing our Inner Strength cycling top. (see Sipho with IST on the left – my dear mom knitted the 1st 
sample for us) This top was designed, with emphasis,on the factors that were important to me ,to be able to get out of my wheelchair and walk again. See Inner Strength Cycling top at the bottom: The white ribs, the blue spinal column, the red spinal cord that hangs in the spinal column emphasises the importance of the body and it’s awesome structure. The red cross that shows the remarkable love of Jesus who carried me and gave me strength every day.
We would like these little Sipho’s to be tied to every cyclist bike, who is going to do the Cape Town Cycle Tour next year and to be able to hand them out to our patients who will benefit from our trust.
It is a small little mascot, but with a powerful message: The Inner Strength Trust cares and wants to make a difference!!
